We depart Louisville this morning for our New England Fall Adventure!! Sit back, relax, and enjoy the beauty of Fall as we travel through West Virginia on to Hagerstown, MD to overnight.
Friday – September 27, 2019
We depart this morning and travel to Mystic, Connecticut, where we will overnight. We will arrive in time to explore downtown Mystic and dinner on the waterfront. B
Saturday – September 28, 2019
This morning we will visit The Museum of America and the Sea / Mystic Seaport—the largest maritime museum in the US. It is notable for its collection of sailing ships and boats, and for the re-creation of the crafts and fabric of an entire 19th-century seafaring village. We will stop for lunch at Lobster Hut (on your own). This afternoon, we will stop at Plymouth Rock for a picture stop. Before checking into our hotel, we make a stop at John F Kennedy Memorial for a picture break. We will overnight the next 2 nights at the Red Jacket Beach Resort, a beautiful full service Cape Cod oceanfront resort on the waters of Nantucket Sound, featuring a beautiful sweep of private ocean beach. This full-service resort and spa has all of the comforts to make your stay memorable, with the bonus of a beautiful oceanfront setting. This evening, we will have an included Sou’Wester Buffet dinner at the Resort. B, D
Sunday – September 29, 2019
This morning we will travel to Provincetown for shopping. We will also have time for lunch before one of the highlights of this tour….the Dolphin Fleet Whale Watching cruise. This may be the highlight of the tour for many. Spend time with a knowledgeable naturalist that will guide us on an experience that is educational, exciting and exhilarating. Imagine yourself within feet of some of the most graceful, rare mammals in the world. Our journey takes us out to Cape Cod Bay and Stellwagen Bank, a marine sanctuary and one of the primary feeding grounds for Humpback Whales, Finback Whales, Pilot Whales, Minke Whales and the endangered Right Wales. B
Monday – September 30, 2019
This morning a step on guide will board our coach for a Boston city tour—to include: The Boston Tea Party, Boston Massacre, Old North Church, Cambridge and Boston Common. Our tour will end at Quincy Market where we will have lunch (on our own) and shopping time. Our afternoon travels provide beautiful views of Maines coastline and the homes of Kennebunkport’s rich and famous. We will take a slow drive by the summer retreat of former President George Bush and First Lady Barbara Bush. We will overnight in Portlaned, Maine. B
Tuesday – October 1, 2019
Another day of beautiful scenerary await us at our first stop of the day is at Cape Elizabeth, home of the Portland Head Lighthouse, one of the MOST beautiful lighthouses in the USA. Next it’s on to L L Bean Flagship store, famous for outdoor gear and apparel. This is always a popular stop for men and women!! We will continue on to Rockland for lunch. We will check in late this afternoon at the beautiful Bar Harbor Regency Resort, settled on one of the most beautiful settings in Bar Harbor, residing on the gorgeous Atlantic oceanfront, where we will overnight the next 2 nights. Also, conveniently located at the entrance of Acadia National Park!
Wednesday – October 2, 2019
Today will be leisure to enjoy the Resort or shopping at the unique shops. For those interested, we will take a shuttle to Acadia National Park – America’s most visited and picturesque National Park. We will enjoy one of the best lobster bakes in the region tonight. (other options available to those that do not want lobster). B, D
Sunday – October 3, 2019
We say goodbye to Maine and enter breathtaking New Hampshire’s White Mountains to Mount Washington Cog Railway located in White Mountain National Forest. We will climb the highest peak in New England on the world’s first mountain-climbing cog railway. An unforgettable adventure with magnificent scenery providing a voyage of a lifetime. We will overnight in Vermont. B
Monday – October 4, 2019
This morning we visit Morse Farm Maple Sugarworks, the standard by which all syrups are judged. We will have a tour and tasting, visit the country store and an outdoor Vermont farm life museum. We will overnight in Syracuse, NY. B
Tuesday – October 5, 2019
We will depart the hotel this morning and travel to Niagara Falls, where we will have an early afternoon arrival. Our hotel is just steps away from the Falls, an amazing location! B
Wednesday – October 6, 2019
We have seen so much of this beautiful country of our’s this week! We will depart the hotel and travel home arriving early this evening. B
