Day 1
Rise and shine for our Southwest Adventure! Today we travel through Kentucky and Tennessee in time for lunch at Casey Jones Village in Jackson, TN. Everyone will enjoy a delicious Southern buffet style dinner at the world famous Brooks Shaw’s, voted Best Buffet and Best Southern Cooking in the Jackson Sun Reader’s Choice Awards! This afternoon, we arrive at Graceland, the home of Elvis Presley with time to visit the Mansion, and exhibits with his automobiles, airplanes, wardrobe and his gold records. We will continue our travels to Arkansas where we will overnight. L

Day 2
Today we will take a break before arriving at the Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum with a chronological, self-guided interactive tour through the story of April 19, 1995. Our visit includes the Outdoor Symbolic Memorial. We will spend the night in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. B

Day 3
Today takes us through the beautiful hill country of Oklahoma and the beginning of the real West, Amarillo, Texas. We will have lunch today on your own at The Big Texan Steakhouse, home of the 72 oz. steak. The offbeat Cadillac Ranch is our next stop so be sure to have your camera charged for this one of a kind American icon. We will overnight in Santa Rosa, New Mexico. B

Day 4
Our scenery today becomes more spectacular as we visit the Sandia Peak Tramway with views of over 11,000 square miles from 10,378 feet. We will have time for plenty of pictures before we travel to Olde Town Albuquerque, New Mexico and visit the shops, restaurants and museums that line the plaza square. Our lodging tonight is in Gallup, New Mexico near the downtown shopping district. B

Day 5
The Painted Desert so aptly describes our first stop this morning with unforgettable colors from deep lavenders to grays, orange, reds and pinks. After our orientation video and visit to the Rainbow Forest complex, we will explore part of the Petrified Forest National Park and get in touch with the natural landscape. We will also see the Painted Desert Inn National Landmark We will break for lunch in Holbrook, Arizona. Final destination today is Flagstaff, Arizona. B

Day 6
Today we head to the Grand Canyon Village and have a step on guide to take us on an escorted tour through the eastern rim of the Grand Canyon to several viewpoints along the way. Those points include Mather Point, Grand Canyon Visitor Center, Desert View and the Little Colorado River Gorge. While in Desert View, you will have time to see the Watchtower and the nearby Tusayan Ruins and Museum. We will continue on to Kayenta, Arizona where we will overnight The Hampton Inn of Monument Valley. Dinner is included this evening at the Reuben Heflin Restaurant where the Southwestern décor sets pace for the navajo or western style entrees….All made from scratch. B,D

Day 7 Monument Valley and a Navajo Guided Tour are all ours to enjoy today. A “Seventh Wonder of the World” the rock formations in Monument Valley inspired John Ford to many a western film here. We will experience enchanting stores of the Native Americans who live here with visits to the Big Indian, Sleeping Dragon, and all the Arches! Lunch is provided today. We will continue on to Moab, Utah, where we will overnight the next 2 nights. B, L

Day 8
You will definitely want your camera ready today, as we will see the most breaktaking natural beauty in Utah . Today's adventures include Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park. B

Day 9
We say goodbye to Utah this morning and travel to Durango, CO. On the way, we will visit Mesa Verde National Park. We will continue on to Historic Downtown Durango in time for shopping and dinner on your own. We spend the next 2 nights Durango, CO. B

Day 10
Today is definitely another highlight of this adventure. We board the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. The train winds through spectacular & breathtaking canyons in the remote wilderson of the 2 million acre San Juan National Forest. Enjoy lunch on your own and sightseeing in Silverton, CO. We will return to Durango to overnight. B

Day 11
Today we travel to the Garden of the Gods in beautiful Colorado Springs. We will explore the museum; learn about the complex geology, ecology and cultural history of the area all while under the watchful presence of Pikes Peak. Before a step-on guide from Adventures out West joins us, we will experience the Geo-Trekker Theatre for perspectives you can’t see elsewhere. After such a great day, we are ready for our evening stay in Colorado Springs. B

Day 12
We bid farewell to Colorado this morning. We travel to Overland Park, KS to overnight. B

Day 13
Today is our last morning together to remember our wonderful tour to the Southwest. We arrive in Louisville later today. B
