Day 1
We will depart Louisville this morning and travel north to Indianapolis for our morning break. We will continue on to Bloomington for lunch. This afternoon, we will visit Antique Archaeology – The American Picker’s Store. This is the home base for the American Pickers Show on History Channel and located in the historic Mississippi River town of LeClaire, Iowa, birthplace of Buffalo Bill. We continue on to Coralville, IA to overnight.

Day 2 -- breakfast included at hotel
We depart this morning and travel to John Wayne’s Birthplace and Museum. Celebrate the famous actor and small-town local boy as you explore John Wayne’s birthplace house and museum. We will continue on to Roseman Covered Bridge – made famous by the movie Bridges of Madison County. Walk the bridge and sign your name inside! Our overnight accommodations are in Sioux Falls, SD. B

Day 3 – breakfast included at hotel
We depart this morning and travel to Chamberlain, SD for a morning break. Today is full of sightseeing and photo stops. We will make a picture stop at the famous Corn Palace. We enter Badlands National Park – 244,000 acres of stunning examples of geological variety: jagged cliffs, deep canyons and sharp buttes, formed by relentless forces of nature. We will stop in Wall Drug Store – one of the world’s most well known roadside stops, famous for its signs offering free ice water during the Great Depression. We will continue on to Rapid City, SD where we will overnight the next 2 nights. B

Day 4—breakfast included at hotel
Today may be one of the highlights of this tripas we tour Black Hills National Park. We visit Mount Rushmore National Memorial, Custer State Park, Needles Highway, Crazy Horse Mountain and Memorial, and much more. Lunch is included at the presidential summer White House for former president Calvin Coolidge, State Game Lodge, where the Buffalo soup is a favorite!! We will also browse the buildings from the movie set of Dances with Wolves. Be sure to have your camera ready for the picturesque views at Sylvan Lake and through the scenic tunnels and pigtail bridges of Iron Mountain Road.We will have a chuckwagon dinner upon returning. Day 5—breakfast included at hotel
Today's adventures include a visit to Deadwood, South Dakota. We will take a Historic Boothill Tour narrated by an expert tour guide in Deadwood where we will visit the graves of Wild Bill Hickok, Calamity Jane and other gold rush characters. Also, enjoy free time in the town. This afternoon it is on to Devils Tower National Monument – the first National Monument set aside for the American people by President Theodore Roosevelt in 1906. This monument was famously seen in the movie, Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Our travels continue on to Buffalo, WY to overnight after dinner at the Bozeman Trail Steakhouse (included). B,D

Day 6---breakfast included at hotel
This morning we will enjoy scenic travel through Big Horn National Forest. Check out the breathtaking views of this sister mountain range of the Rocky Mountains. We continue on to Cody, WY and tour the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. Tonight we will enjoy Wild Western family fun at the Cody Nite Rodeo. We overnight in Cody. B

Day 7—breakfast included at hotel
Today is another one of the top highlights of the tour – Yellowstone National Park, the first National Park in the United States and the largest. We will visit Old Faithful , Canyon Village, and stop at the Paint Pots.. We will continue on to Jackson, WY where we will overnight the next 2 nights. B

Day 8
Today will be one of the most exciting days of the tour. Enjoy a peaceful 13 mile scenic float trip down the Snake River, with the Grand Tetons as the backdrop. You will definitely want your camera ready for this one as you never know what wildlife will make an appearance. The rest of the day is free in Jackson, WY. B

Day 9
This morning we say goodbye to Jackson Hole and head to Rock Springs, WY for a morning break. There is lots of beautiful scenery as we continue on to Steamboat Springs, CO to overnight. B

Day 10—breakfast included at hotel
After departing the hotel, we will visit the small town of Grand Lakes, Colorado, before heading into Rocky Mountain National Park where we will have time to explore the town and shop. Next, discover why the Rocky Mountains of Colorado are the object of so many people’s affections today. You’ll see the best of the best: majestic mountains, wildlife you’ve only seen on TV, and views like nothing you’ve ever witnessed. You will have more photo op’s than your camera will know what to do with. This evening we will overnight in Longmont, CO. B

Day 11 ---breakfast included at hotel
We will visit the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. Have lunch at the Café T-Rex(on your own) before departing. We bid farewell to Denver this afternoon where our travels take us to Colby, KS to overnight. B

Day 12—breakfast included at hotel
We will travel east through Topeka and Kansas City today taking breaks en-route. After lunch we step back in time to the 1800s with a visit to Old Prairie Town / Ward-Meade Historic Site. We will arrive in Blue Springs, MO, where we will overnight. B

Day 13 –breakfast included at hotel
We continue our travel east to St Louis for lunch, arriving home early this evening. B
