Day 1
Depart Louisville and travel to Meridian, MS where we will overnight at the Drury Inn.

Day 2
We will depart this morning and travel to New Orleans in time for a 2-hr lunch jazz cruise on the Mighty Mississippi aboard the Steamboat Natchez. This afternoon, we will take a tour of the famous Mardi Gras World and get the inside scoop on how Mardi Gras is made. We will check into the Drury Plaza Hotel New Orleans, right outside the French Quarter, where we will spend the next 3 nights.B,L

Day 3
Today, a licensed step on guide will join our group for a guided tour of New Orleans. Lunch is a special treat today…The Court of Two Sisters Jazz Brunch Buffet in their lovely French Quarter courtyard. After lunch, we will have the remainder of the day free to explore the French Quarter.B

Day 4
Today we will visit New Orleans School of Cooking, where we will cook and eat an authentic Louisianna meal with one of their expert chefs. Afterwards, you get to eat the lunch you just created. Before you leave, check out the General Store for locally sourced Louisiana food items, gifts, cookbooks & more. This afternoon, journey back to the early days of Louisiana bayou and swamp explorations on a Cajun Pride Swamp Tour.B, L

Day 5We bid farewell to New Orleans this morning, but the fun isn't over yet. We will travel to Tunica, MS and overnight at the Gold Strike Resort & Casino. Dinner is included.B,D

Day 6
This morning we will begin our journey home after a true "Old South Getaway" in New Orleans with new friends & memories that will last a lifetime.B
