Wednesday - October 17, 2018
Depart Louisville this morning and enjoy the beautiful scenerary as we travel east through Lexington and on to Berea for a morning break. We will continue on to
Kingston Pike for a lunch break. Our afternoon travels take us to the
Brasstown Bald, GA rising 4,784 feet above sea level, is
Georgia’s tallest mountain. Experience the wonders of nature as we shuttle to the viewing area. If it’s a clear day, we will be able to see
Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, AND South Carolina!! We continue on to
Helen, GA, where we will overnight the next 2 nights at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites. Dinner is included at
Hofbrauhaus Restaurant.

We will visit
Tallulah Gorge State Park, overflowing with natural wonders. People come from all over the world to see the waterfalls and the awesome gorge. Lunch is included at
The Dillard House Restaurant – a true Southern culinary event. After lunch, it’s off to the main event….
the Georgia Mountain Fall Festival! Exciting musical performances, Arts & Craft vendors, educational demonstrations, a flower show and the ever-popular
Georgia’s official State Fiddlers’ Convention. You will want to meet Buddy, the clown too. We will end the day at the
Helen Alpine Village – a re-creation of a Bavarian Alpine village with more than 200 specialty and import shops offering handmade gifts. Dining options (on your own) range from traditional German fare to traditional Southern.

We will depart this morning for our return trip home. We will stop for lunch in
Knoxville, TN. We will stop for an afternoon break at the
Kentucky Artisan Center at Berea, a 25,000 sq. foot Kentucky arts center. Enjoy more of
Kentucky’s fall foliage as we make our way home arriving early this evening.
